Rami Beracha’s advice to students of Herzliya's Interdisciplinary Center is based on his own personal experience. Rami was a teenager who decided to study law. He was unsure whether he was on the right route, but he pursued his law education, obtained the Master's degree in New York, then worked at an international law firm. He discovered that his passion was more for business than law during his time working in the Wall Street law office. He decided to quit his job and moved to France to pursue an MBA.

Following her graduation in the year 1996, Beracha was hired by the Venture Capital Fund Pitango. Pitango is Israel's biggest venture capital investment company. Pitango, which focuses on early-stage companies creating core areas in high tech it has received more than 200 investments from investors and exited over 85 companies so far. Rami was named managing partner in 2000. In the subsequent 18 years, Pitango managed several deals that resulted in successful exits at Fortune 500 companies like Broadcom, Marvel Cisco, Cisco, Apple, and Cisco.

He didn’t stop there. Globes presented Beracha with the "Esteemed Partner Award" in 2011, recognizing his role as an influential investor. Rami founded Sosa in 2014 as a brand new initiative. Although Rami Beracha is a successful person today, his path was not always easy. Like most Israelis, Beracha joined the army when he was a young man. He was an Paratrooper's Brigade combat soldier and fought during the Lebanon War. Rami was part a rescue team sent out to assist soldiers injured in minefields. This happened shortly after the war ended. Unfortunately, Rami stepped on a hidden mine and lost his foot and hand in the incident.

His stay in hospital rehabilitation was among the most challenging times of his entire existence. He was not able to move, and he fell into desperation and depression. His hopes of advancing his career in the army seemed lost, and he was unsure of who is he. In the midst of his struggles, Rami was able to discover the drive to keep going and make new dreams. He resolved to be stronger and more efficient than he was prior the injuries. Rami decided to try out extreme sports. He now enjoys snowboarding kitesurfing, snowboarding and the climb of Mount Kilimanjaro. He sometimes feels like his past that is unresolved has pushed him ahead, even as the effort to get better.
Rami is an avid volunteer and generous donor to a variety of charitable organizations. He also enjoys helping young soldiers who have been wounded in combat. Rami headed an army group that helped wounded soldiers during a trip to Nepal. He was promoted to the rank of major within the Israeli paratrooper/fire brigades in the year 2018. He had his dreams as an aspiring young man, and they were able to come true despite the many difficulties. His story and the passion he has for it is a source of inspiration to many. Rami did not let his injuries slow him from achieving his goals. He continued to learn and trying new things until finally he was stronger than ever.
