Bir eksik var bendimde,
Uzar, uzaklardadır mefkûrem

Mezar taşım; bir sevda gayem...
Yalnız bir gecenin farzıdır,
Işıldar parlak bir gün.
Ayrılan ayla güneşin hazzıdır,
Yalnız bir gecede vasletmek bir gün.
Yükselirken nûrun kayboluyor semâ,
Semâ kaybolurken halim misal-i mumsemâ.
Sulara yansıyınca sâlim oluyor hebâ,
Ruhumu çekiyor nefesin, içim yanıyor kezâ
Kirpiklerindeki füsuna erebilir mi Kâbil kadar Hâbil?
Gözlerinden saçılan efsuna var mıdır mukabil?
Saçlarından süzülen nur kadar pak yüzün,
Nedendir? ne sebepten kaderin hüzün?
Gözlerini dikti, baktı o an bana.
"Nerdesin? sensiz hüzündür özüm!"
Gülerek yaklaşıp, dokundum dudağına,
"Yakındır vuslat, ne olur? biraz dözüm!"
Yakındı vuslat, fakat yalnız ukbâda.
Uçmağa varınca, bir pınarın başında,
Türkmen obasında, Gökçen'in suyundan,
İşitip sözlerini, sarhoş olarak dudağından.
