After you have met the requirements, follow this step-by-step procedure to set up the server:
#1 - Download the server.jar file
Download the server.jar file from Minecraft's official website. Users can download the server.jar file for the latest version on the site. After downloading, make sure the file name is minecraft_server.1.XX.X.jar, where XX.X is the version.
Create a folder named "Minecraft Server" to store the server-related files.
#2 - Open command prompt
The next step is to open the command prompt. Find the command prompt from the start menu. To confirm that Java is installed, enter "java-version".
Change your directory to the "Minecraft Server" folder that contains the Jar file. Copy the address from the file manager and then enter "cd" to copy the address of the folder. Hit Enter to switch the directory to the server folder.
For example, cdC:UsersAdminDesktopMinecraft Server
After changing the directory, type Java"-jar" or "name your jar".jar in the command prompt. Hit the Enter key. While it may display an error, there is no reason to worry.

#3 - Changes in Eula.txt, and note query.port settings
After the jar has been run, a new text file with the name Eula will be added to the server folder. Open it using an editor for text, then switch eula=false to eula=true and save it.
Players can find another file called "server.properties," containing all vital information and settings, like query.port, gamemode, difficulty, and more.
#4 - The server is ready to go live
Enter the command to launch the jar again. The server should now be running without errors. You can join the server by entering localhost or your IP address into the IP address box. Others can join the server by adding ":25565" at the end of your public IP address.
