How to host and configure a Minecraft Server with No-IP.

To connect to the server and play, you'll require to have a Minecraft account. You can create an account on Minecraft here if you don't have one.



Step One: You will first need to download the Minecraft Server software package hosted here and then launch the server.

After completing port forwarding, go to www.portchecktool.com to check if port 25565 is open. If it is, you will receive an "Success!" message.

You must confirm that we are correctly in resolving your hostname using the correct external IP address. You can check your current IP address by, once again, visiting www.portchecktool.com from the network's location.



Step Four: Next, you will need to set up an approach to keep no IP current with your dynamic public (external) IP address. There are a variety of methods to accomplish this.



First, you need to download our free Dynamic Update Client. The client should be running continuously at the location of your network. It will check your IP address every five minutes, and should it find that it has changed, it will update the change with No-IP.



You can also see whether the device you have on your network supports No-IP Integrated Dynamic DNS updates. Some devices that have No-IP support for Dynamic DNS include Camera systems or routers. This eliminates the need to download Dynamic Update Client.



Step Five You should now be able connect to your server. You can also invite your friends to connect. Simply provide them with the hostname you are using along with the port number. For example, "hostname.domain.com:25565".
