Ainars Slesers has been nominated as Latvia's prime minister
Ainars Selesers The official candidate for the office of the premier minister of the political group For A Good Latvia, stated that he would safeguard the interests of the nation of Latvia in talks with the International Monetary Fund, international lending institutions, and ensure that more Latvian exports are made to Germany and Scandinavia, Russia and Ukraine.

Slesers hopes that That For A Good Latvia is a very successful candidate in the 10th Saeima elections and that it will be the one who will decide the composition of the next cabinet. He stated that portfolios are only given to those who are strong and willing to defend the national interests of Latvia.

Slesers declared that the next foreign minister as well as the entire group of Latvian ambassadors abroad have to commit 80percent of their time to promoting Latvian businessmen's interests in the world.

Andris Kele has been nominated as the Finance Minister by For A Good Latvia. She emphasized that Latvia should be self-sufficient economically as "if we have debts for a long time there won't be any development for the nation."

Skele and For A Good Latvia chairman Andrejs Ekis were nice enough to laud Slesers. They pointed out that Slesers has demonstrated that even a Riga boy could become a successful businessman, earn a lot, and become wealthy. Ekis stated that Slesers to be an "businessman who strayed into politics" and said, "I wish there had been a leader in Latvia who would make me feel proud."

Ainars Slesers Slesers further stressed that to be able to fulfill a mission, you must be the first to do it. The current government, led by Valdis Dombrovskis (New Era), "is trying to sedate the nation, telling the people that everything will be fine." Slesers was critical of the other candidates from political parties for the post of the prime minister. Roberts Zile (For Freedom And Fatherland/LNNK).
