sonra bir haftasonu muhammed ali izlerken aklına gelmesi ile rocky senaryosunu yazmış. prodüktörler senaryoyu beğenip 125 bin dolar önermişler ama "sen oynama ayı" demişler. parasızlıktan köpeğini bile satmış olan,tek istediği oyuncu olmak olan kahramanımız bunu kabul etmemiş. ardından başka produktör senaryoya 325 bin dolar önermiş ama sylvester stallone kendisi oynamak istediğinden yine kabul etmemiş. sonra aynı şirket o'nun oynamasını kabul etmiş ama 35 bin dolar önermiş, sylvester stallone kabul etmiş.
35 bin doları alan sylvester stallone, ilk iş olarak, satmak zorunda kaldığı köpeğinin peşine düşmüş,15 bin dolar masraf yaparak, köpeği bulup geri almış.
bu köpek, `rocky`'de, sylvester stallone ile beraber oynamış, ve film 200 milyon dolar hasılat yapmıştır.
