Humans are split into two groups. There are two types of people: the 'full circle' type, who is totally self-contained and is completely comfortable being alone. It's true that he wants to be with someone and yes, he's always looking for one. Absolutely! It's all true! ... However, he cannot survive without his dream partner until he locates one. Once he has found the perfect one then he'll be able to live the rest of his life with his complete circle partner.
Others are those who are "half-acircle" kinds. When they find the grumpy creature, they won't let go of it. To form a happy circle, they'll try to integrate their victim physically. The Halves will not relinquish their desire to stare at each one from a distance that is zero for the rest. Only intimacy can satisfy their need to connect with each other and make one whole.

One of the most fascinating observations between types is how they decide to leave their partner. The complete circle will usually release the person they've lost chemistry. On the other hand half-circles will alter the definition of chemistry between couples to mean "I hold onto this B..ST..RD. until I can replace him with an upgrade."
Imagine the incredible dance that occurs when two "half a-circle", and a 'full-circle" attempt to create one another, and not even noticing their differing geometries. The Half smiles and moves two steps forward. The Full is a bit frightened by this unwelcome invasion to be somewhat frightening. So he fixes this zone-invasion-problem by making a gentle step backward. The problem is that he made this move by forcing the Half out of his comfort zone . When the Half believes that the Full made an error of his own and then took another step forward, the Half becomes irritated and takes another step in the opposite direction.. The Half.. Half.. and the Half are all pissed off. They can't describe their hurt and don't know why. They could have saved their lives by knowing that one is Half and the other is Full.
