Our biggest error is that we assume total agreement in our expectations but never bother to comprehend our partner's expectations. Two types of human beings are there. Certain of us are "full-circle" types who are self-contained and is completely comfortable by himself. He needs a partner. Absolutely! It's all true ... However, he'll never be able to survive without a suitable partner. Once he has found the person of his dreams, he wants to live his life shoulder-to-shoulder with his - hopefully full circle of a partner.
The other aspect of humanity is made up of "half-a-circle" kind of people (not to be confused with "half-a-circle") (no it's not full circles that got damaged in the course of the delivery) - ... Yes they are in need of a partner and yes, they need to find a partner very badly, and indeed, they are in constant, almost religious, search for a partner... and yes it's on the same scale as matters of national security that they find their perfect partner since they can't live without one. They will not let go after they have found their miserable companion. They'll try to physically integrate their victim in a happy circle. The Halves aren't going to compromise their affection for one another. They will stare at each other in the same way from the distance for the remainder of the time. It is impossible to make them feel more intimate than that.

Interesting observation between these two types: the decision to let go of a partner. The whole circle tends to release the partner with whom they've lost chemistry. Half-circles, however, redefine what 'having mutually chemistry with their partner is referring to - 'I'm keeping this B..ST..RD until I can safely replace them with a proper upgrade'.

Imagine the fantastic dance that occurs when a "half" and "full" circle attempt to be their partner. They are not aware of their distinctions. The Half takes two leaps in the air, way beyond the comfort zone of his Full, who considers the abrupt invasion of his personal space a little too terrifying. So he fixes this zone-invasion-problem by making a gentle step backward. The issue is that he took half of his comfortable zone .... and while the Half was sure the Full made an innocent error, the Half begins getting angry and takes a step in the opposite direction. They don't know why, but they lack proper terms and are unable to describe it. So they go to the wrong areas. The victims could have been saved had they known that the answer they're searching for is Half while the other is fully.
