Nominated as prime minister of Latvia by Ainars Slesers
Ainars who is the official candidate of the political association For A Good Latvia for the post of prime minister, said at the conference today that he would defend the Latvian interests when negotiating with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and other international lenders, as well as ensure that more Latvian goods, services and products export to Germany, Russia, Scandinavia, Ukraine, and Belarus.

Slesers believes that For A Good Latvia will be highly successful in the upcoming 10th Saeima elections and that it will ultimately decide the makeup of the government to come. He stated that only such people will be able to hold portfolios in the new government.
