The Minecraft 1.19 release date is theoretically, on the horizon. There are a lot of exciting things in the upcoming update including frogs, the brand new allay mb, and the terrifying Minecraft Warden. Lalalalal brings something different to the game. However in the case of the Warden, it appears Mojang really wants it to terrorize us.
If you're not convinced, just check out the most recent notes for Minecraft 1.19 pre-release 3, that almost immediately followed pre-release 2 presumably due to the Warden's demands. While most of the notes are about bugs, there are some Warden changes that are worth to mention. The first one is that if the Warden is stuck in the liquid, it will now be angry and despawn instead of digging. We don't know why it despawns angrily but it's something that we're eager to see.
Another big modification, and this was the one that specifically was added to version 3 of the prerelease, is that Wardens' Sonic blast attack is now able to bypass damage reduction through armor spells like Protection. This makes Warden a bit more powerful because it demonstrates Mojang is aiming for this enemy to be avoided, rather than getting cheesed.
Although many of the bug changes are extremely specific, it's worth noting that mobs are more likely to appear in Nether Portals. This means that they're being ripped through time and space quite a bit. Mojang is working to stop this in a later version however, they "will not make any further changes before the release of 1.19."
