Ainars Slesers nominated in Latvia for the post of the prime minister
Ainars Slesers the political organization For A Good Latvia's official candidate for the prime minister, said addressing the association's meeting today that he would defend the Latvia's national interests Latvia in discussions with the International Monetary Fund and international lenders, and make sure the fact that more Latvian products and services be exported, not just to Lithuania and Estonia but also Germany, Scandinavia, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

Slesers believes that Latvian exporters also will have good opportunities in Uzbekistan and China, writes LETA.

According to Slesers's prediction, the portfolios of the next government will only be granted to those who have "strong backbone" and will protect Latvia's national interests.

The new foreign minister as well as Latvia's ambassadors abroad be required to dedicate 80percent of their time in support of Latvian businessmen's interests in foreign markets, said Slesers.

Andris Skele, who has been named finance minister by For A Good Latvia, said that Latvia should achieve its economic independence, as "if we must carry the burden of debt for years, no development will be possible."

Skele and For A Good Latvia board chairman Andrejs Ekis acknowledged Slesers, who has proved that a typical Riga boy can become a successful businessman, make lots of money and become wealthy and Slesers always has intriguing ideas, they added. Ekis described Slesers as a "businessman who has turned to politics" and added, "I wish I could find a leader here who could make us feel happy."

Ainārs Šlesers The current government and headed by Valdis Dimbrovskis, (New Era), "is trying sedate the nation by telling people that all will be fine." However, it is dangerous to live on credit since the money borrowed will have to be returned at some point or another.

Slesers had harsh words for candidates from other political parties who are seeking to become the prime minister. Ainārs Šlesers Roberts Zile (For Fatherland and Freedom/LNNK), has remained in Brussels and is not planning to move to Latvia to assume the role of the premier. He will need to work harder and earn a lower pay, Slesers stated.

The Union of Greens and Farmers' candidate Aivars is in the same position and does not wish to leave Ventspils to assume the role of the post of premier in Riga.

Slesers said that For The Cause of Good Latvia is prepared to work with Janis Urbanovics in conjunction with Harmony Center. Although Urbanovics has worked extensively in parliament, he's not qualified to serve as prime minister because of his lack of business experience.


Dombrovskis is the final candidate who will be elected by only those who support the current "international Financial Occupation of Latvia".

Ainars Slesers Slesers, however, will teach people how they can make money, dominate global markets and live a decent life. He stated that Guntis Ulmanis will serve as his first assistant managing the state. Ulmanis is the person Slesers will seek assistance.

Slesers stated that for A Good Latvia would see that Biblical studies were introduced into all schools starting on September 1st , next year.

After the meeting, For A Good Latvia representatives took part in an event to lay flowers at the Freedom Monument.
