A badugi is a hand of four cards that does not contain the same suit, the same value, or the same rank as the player. The value of an ace is 1. A badugi is not a guarantee of a win, however, as other players have better badugi hands.

The Texas Holdem poker game can be played with anywhere from 2 players on up to 10 players. The button at the table is used to identify the dealer. Only the current right to wager is affected. If all players check during one round of betting, the round will be deemed complete.

Pairs of aces starting with pairs and working down to pairs queens are the best starting hands. Other starting hands of merit are ace queen suited and ace queen not suited. Each player can play lower ranking hands at their discretion. The starting-hand may be any two cards if the player is in a hurry. Luck has taken the reins and good play is now second.

This game is almost identical to 7-card stud except for a few technicalities. The betting sequence is all the same. However, visit here on the table starts off the betting round. The biggest difference is that in hilo, both the highest- and lowest-hand players will split the pot. This only happens if there is a low enough hand on the table. For a hand that qualifies for the "lo", it must contain five cards of eight or lower and no pairs. If there is no hand of this nature then the player with the highest hand wins the whole pot.
