The day has finally arrived: Minecraft's Caves & Cliffs Part II update has come to each Java and Bedrock Editions of the game, bringing new world generation and some moderately lovely new caves.
We have lined the way in which the brand new terrain era works already after we bought our mitts on the Snapshot earlier this year, but after several extra tweaks, patches, fixes and updates, the official launch of Caves & Cliffs Half II is a way more stable expertise.
To download the brand new update on your Switch, go to the Minecraft icon on your home display screen, press the + button to open the Choices, go to "Software Update" and choose "Via the Web". Yery.Net can test for the update, although it might have downloaded it automatically already.
As for updating your existing worlds, Mojang have supplied directions:
How do I update my world?
On Bedrock Edition, after you have updated to 1.18 and go to load up an present world, you will be shown a prompt and asked when you want to make a backup copy of that world. In case you do wish to make a backup, make sure to hit the prompt and then click on by to update your world and start taking part in.
Sadly, some of the features initially planned for Caves & Cliffs Half II - like the Deep Darkish biome, the Warden, and archaeology - have been pushed again to the subsequent replace, 1.19, called "The Wild Update".
Here is the changelog for Bedrock Version (that's the one on Swap):
- Elevated the world peak and depth, including 50% more vertical house to construct and explore
- New cave technology to discover beneath your current worlds
- New cave and mountain biomes like Lush Caves and Jagged Peaks
- Drastically updated and improved biome, cave, and ore era
- Added a number of new music tracks to enjoy during gameplay
- Mounted over 70 bugs, issues, and parity adjustments
