Minecraft Villager Jobs: A Information

Since 1.14 Village and Pillage, the villages in Minecraft have been drastically changed. The entire system of trading, the item economy, and the tasks that each villager does is completely revamped. This guide will give you an in-depth outline of how to manage your villager's trading. You should be able to identify the best way to get the things you require at the end. With that said let's get started!

What are the Countless Villager Jobs available in Minecraft?

There are currently 15 villager jobs available in Minecraft. This is a list of the various jobs villagers could get. If you want a certain job, you'll need to put the job block which corresponds to the job you want next to the Unemployed Villager. The villager's work will determine what trades they offer. You can remove a villager's job block when you do not have a villager unemployed. If you are unable to obtain the desired trades from a villager you can remove the job block and place it again to replenish their trades.

Different types of villagers are available in Minecraft

Armorer - Offers armor, and even Chainmail. Blast Furnace Butcher is a job block that offers Emeralds, as well as cooked meat. Job Block: Smoker

Cartographer - Offers maps and banner paterns. Job Block Cartography Table

Farmer - Provides high-end food and even brewing supplies. Job Block Composter

Fisherman - Offers fish as well as an amazing fishing rod. Job Block: Barrel

Fletcher - Offers bows and arrows, as well as flint and Tip Arrows. Fletching Table is the task block

Leatherworker offers leather armor, Horse Armor, and even saddles. Cauldron is the main job block

Shepherd - Offers varying colors of wool and paintings. Job BLock - Loom

Toolsmith - Offers tools in various quality and even enchanted! Job Block: Smithing Table

Unemployed - Offers no job, but can be hired. Job Block: N/A

Weaponsmith - Sells Iron and Diamond Swords/Axes. enchanted! Job Block: Grindstone

Villager Appearance:

Villagers' roles will change depending on their work, but the appearance of villager's appearance will differ in every biome. They maintain the traits specific to their work to make each job distinct. For instance all Farmers wear a straw hat, and all Librarians have glasses.

Trading in stocks

As of 1.14, Mojang has introduced the lovely concept of 'Supply and demand. This basically means that if you make one specific trade too many times, not only will the villager run out in that specific item however, prices (amount of jewels or items you need to exchange) will also rise when the item is traded for frequently. Trades can be done around four times before stock runs out. Villagers will replenish their stock twice per day. The price of an item will drop when it's not traded.

Unlocking Trades:

Both players and villager gain experience when they trade. The next tier of trades is unlocked when the villager's level increases. Villagers have five levels of trades that unlock progressively higher quality items. The level of a villager is displayed by an emblem of color on their clothes, which can be found from Novice(Stone), Apprentice(Iron), Journeyman(Gold), Expert(Emerald) all the way to Master(Diamond).

Wandering Trader

This is somewhat unusual however, there is a villager who is completely different from the other villager. The Wandering Trader is a passive mob, like Villagers in general, but it appears randomly across the world with no pattern whatsoever. It is equipped with two trading llamas that are like normal llamas with a cosmetic change. Another unique feature of this Villager is that it has no of trading levels. This means that the trades you've taken with him will remain yours for the duration of time. Fear not though, for his trades will reset the next time he appears.

The Wandering Trader's trades are often difficult to find and obscure. Although they aren't particularly impressive or powerful however, they are still useful. Be quick, because the Wandering Trader will vanish after 40-60 minutes.

Popularity:

As an individual player, you are able to enjoy a level of popularity. This is reduced by taking negative actions, such as attacking villager however, it is increased by trading more often or curing zombie villager. Negative actions increase prices, while positive ones reduce them.

Let's say your village is attacked in a flurry by Illagers and you happen to happen to be in the area and you manage to stop the attack. You will be rewarded with the 'Heroes of the Village" status effect, which will further reduce trade costs (except for trades that cost 1 Emerald).

These are the basic rules of villager jobs as well as village trading. Now you'll be able manage that villager farm like a pro! Mojang is known to rip the rug from under our feet frequently. Trading can be more complicated with Supply & Demand mechanics and popularity functions. You can use these features to either greatly help you, or even cause havoc to the trading economy on your Minecraft server. I hope this guide served you well. Best of luck and I wish you the best!
