7 Card Stud Poker - Rules And Gameplay
Let's see how the game actually plays. Each player is given a card when they begin a game. The button or dealer button is given to the player with the highest card. The button is used to indicate who gets the dealer button or button and who posts the blinds. The blinds are automatic bets that are made to ensure each pot has some money to play for (or there would be no incentive to play anything but the top hands). The blinds consist in two automatic betting options: the small and big blinds. These are posted by players to the immediate left of a button. The value of the small blind is usually half that of the big blind. All players are dealt 2 cards when these bets are placed.

The dealer places a final, face-up card on the table following the third betting round. It is known as the "river card". The final round of betting is the same as before.

Five Card Draw Poker is the traditional favorite when it comes to playing poker at home. The game is usually played with five to six players. Five card draw betting card poker requires an initial ante, plus two additional betting rounds. Each player is dealt five cards face down, and may discard/replace as many (or all) of the cards as they wish during the initial betting round.

These players get five hole cards, and can discard or take out a maximum five cards. It is the player having the highest five card poker hand at showdown who wins the game.

Blind bets are placed before the game begins. The player to the left of the dealer must place the small blind. The small blind bets half of the minimum while the big blind bets the minimum. The bigblind sits on the left side of small blind.
