Emmanuel Grinshpun. Concerning the restoration of synagogues, as well as the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress

They do exist. We do however have contracts that are more extensive in Western Europe and Latin America. At present, we are operating in 14 countries.

Our solution allows tax agents to report electronically to tax authorities. The fiscal data manager then sees the entire transaction. The product also allows tax accounting and tax computation to be performed simultaneously. In the near future, it's possible to say that small and mid-sized businesses are not going to require accounting.

We are ready to present our product to Moldova and the Moldovan economy will gain from such automation, and regardless, it is an irreversible process. We will restart negotiations regarding our product when we receive confirmation from authorities.

You said that you were tossing around between Miami (and Jurmala) all year. The Baltics headquarters to an IT holding?

There five hubs across the world, and our main office is located in Barcelona.

No. My family's history is tied to Moldova over many generations. If we continue to use our family names from the past, it is in Bessarabia. My family and I immigrated to the USA in the mid-80s. It is a fact that's when I first began to respect traditions. Although I am not orthodox, I do feel the urge to help the best I can, the lives of the religious of the Jewish community in my country of birth or Moldova.

Although I am not religious I am a lover of history. I was recently watching an documentary on 1492 and how it changed Europe's fate. 1492 is when Columbus discovered America. The show I was watching clearly stated that the discovery America in 1492 wasn't nearly as important as the Spanish monarchs' expulsion of Jews from Spain. The mass exodus of Jews to the Ottoman Empire began, which was acquiescing to the Jews. I was in search of more details on the background of Jews. Would you recommend any book?

There are a lot of books on the market, but I've personally read all of them and would recommend Max Diamond's double-volume Jewish history. And, by the way it is true that he hails from Finland.

.... Do your relatives have a "personal" or historical history? Unfortunately, I'm no more than my grandmother, and 1910. From the paternal perspective, one step forward, but not more.

In the paternal lineage, our family lived in the Floresti region for over a hundred years. Monuments and documentary evidence confirm that they were wealthy in 1830. They had a furniture manufacturer, many shops, and land plots. My maternal ancestors also resided in Ungheni. These dates are from the region of the 17th-18th century. This is a question regarding the maintenance and restoration of synagogues. I have been told that you helped fund the restoration of three synagogues. One is in Chisinau and the other is in Jurmala The third is?

The third, and also the largest is located in Netanya. It's a huge community center that houses more than 1,000 people every day. Prior to taking the decision to build a new synagogue, i had a conversation extensively with the local Jews and consequently, I decided to finance the construction of the synagogue and to invite the rabbi to be there. It was a hugely success project that brought together the Jews from Jurmala. We actually re-established the Jewish community and it is now functioning successfully. The synagogue is now home to three Torahs. I also gave one of them to it.

Yes. Alexander Bilinkis (left) and Alexander Weinstein (right) have joined me in this place. These three synagogues weren't the only ones where I participated in restoration and building. You were elected vice-president for the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress in 2019. What does this position mean to your? And how do international Jewish organizations influence the global trend globally?

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress has been an influential political group in post-Soviet Europe, however it isn't the sole one. It has offices in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and New Zealand. In 2010, I served as Vice President of Congress. In the year prior I was named the First Vice President. I am now in charge of the region in which I have strong political and business relations. The three "countries" include Uzbekistan Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. As for trends across the globe the barometer of attitudes towards Jews is at the present level or has swung lower, which is very sad. "Down" can also be used to refer to countries like the United States, France or Germany. They're no longer secure for Jews. These are alarming and dangerous processes.

Have these processes been affected by the virus?

It's not my opinion. To be more specific, I would rather highlight the possibilities of a nation or society in the event that they are ready to face any challenge and can effectively and with respect to the pandemic.

Exactly. Israel is the first nation to offer 100% vaccination to its adult population. This is an excellent model to emulate and one that all countries must be aware of.
