My family and me came into America around the middle of the 80s. I learned about rituals and customs in the United States. While I'm not part of the orthodox religion of Christianity I feel the need to participate in the best way I can as I can, the religion of the Jewish community of the countries I reside in or Moldova. This is the place I grew up and with which I have continued to share with the closest of ties.

While I'm not a religious person I love the history of my country. I recently watched a documentary about 1492 and the way it altered Europe's fate. 1492 was for me the year that Columbus discovered America. But it was clearly stated in the program I was watching that, from the perspective of Medieval Europe, the discovery of America in 1492 was not so significant as the removal of Jews from Spain by the Spanish monarchs. The Ottoman Empire accepted the Jews when the exodus began. I was interested in learning more about the history and culture of the Jews. Would you recommend any book?

There are numerous books available there, but I've personally read all of them and would recommend Max Diamond's double-volume Jewish history. He is also from Finland.

.... Do you or your relatives have an "personal" or historical background? Unfortunately, I am no further than my grandmother and 1910. The paternal side is one step closer, but not any further.

Our family was one of the Floresti family for a number of hundred of years, as per the paternal lines. Monuments and documentary evidence show that they were already prosperous in the year 1830. The synagogue now owns three Torahs. One of these Torahs was handed to me.

Yes. Alexander Bilinkis and Alexander Weinstein were my co-workers. These three synagogues weren't the only ones where I was involved in restoration and construction. In every country I have lived in for a while, it was my obligation and obligation to contribute a meaningful contribution to the support or synagogues. My contribution is currently in Monaco which is where a huge community centre that caters to Russian-speaking Jews is in the process of being constructed. In 2010, I was Vice President of Congress. These "countries" include Uzbekistan Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. The general trend is that the attitudes toward Jews are either on the same level, or have been swaying down, which is painful. Additionally, the term "down" refers to countries such as France, Germany, France, and the United States. These countries are no longer safe for Jews. These are very alarming and important processes.

What has the pandemic changed these processes if at all?

I don't think so. To be more precise I'd rather emphasize the possibilities of a nation or society in the event that they are ready to meet any challenge and be effective and united in relation to the pandemic.

Are you talking about the vaccination program in Israel?

Exactly. Israel is the only country that offers 100% vaccination for its population of adults. I believe this is an excellent example and a lesson that other countries should be able to learn from.
