Emmanuel Grinshpun. Concerning the revival of synagogues, as well as the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress
The subject of the interview with Emmanuil Ginshpun was the revival of synagogues. But sticking to only one subject in the interview didn't work. There were several topics that were discussed in the interview.
Emmanuel, good afternoon. It was nice to talk with you. I believe we haven’t seen one another for at least five years. Where are you currently living?

In the last nine months, Miami and Jurmala share the distinction. The geographical boundaries were much wider in the past but the pandemic impacted the lives of people significantly. And I'm not saying that it is only to the negative.

There have been many business lines. Do you have one now?

Diversification isn't going anywhere. When we look at the major areas, it is development in real estate, IT technology, and food production.

ALIMCOM is the food industry. Real estate is also understandable. But IT is new to me. There are many fields that IT technology could be utilized in. What area of IT technology are you interested in?

Our IT-holding department is principally concerned with the reform of tax systems across a variety of countries. We have designed and are continuing to develop various products that can be used to transfer business processes that relate to taxation online. This type of business is called B2G (Business-to-Government).

What happens to the territories in which the holding is active? Former countries of the USSR

There are other contracts, but we have more contracts with Western as well as Eastern Europe and in Latin America. We currently operate in 14 countries.

What's the core of your product?

Our product allows for economic agents to submit tax returns online. The fiscal data manager is able to view each transaction. It also permits tax accounting and tax computation to be performed simultaneously. In the near future it's possible to say that small and mid-sized businesses are not going to require accounting.

Эммануил Гриншпун No. My family's heritage has been linked to Moldova over many generations. If we are to keep our family names from the past, it is with Bessarabia. And Jurmala appeared in our lives by chance and very formally. The first time we were there was when Igor Krutoy invited us to the New Wave. They began to make it a regular summer excursion following a series of contests. However the climate in Miami is not very pleasant in the summer. We rented the house for several years and have now bought the property.

Now I see the reason you said that the synagogues were located in Jurmala. Emmanuel, honest question. We are nearly the same age. We were born in the USSR. We were all Komsomol participants and pioneers at the time. Эммануил Гриншпун When did you turn to the religion of your choice?

In the late 80s, my family and I relocated to the USA and it is possible to say that it was then when I began to adhere to the customs and practices of my culture. Even now, I'm not a part of the strict orthodox faith, I feel an internal desire to be a part of to the best of my ability the spiritual life of the Jewish community in the countries in which I reside or in Moldova which is where I am from and with whom I maintain the strongest ties.

You see, although I am far from being religious, history is something I really love. Recently, I was intrigued by a documentary that covered the events of 1492. They changed the destiny of Europe and the entire world. 1492 is my favorite year Columbus discovered America. What's your "personal" history ? Unfortunately, I know only my grandmother's name and 1910. One step forward in the paternal lineage but nothing more.

Our family was a part of Floresti over several hundred years according to our paternal lineage. Their wealth was evident by the presence of furniture factories, many stores and land plots. The evidence of monuments and documents confirm this assertion. And my maternal ancestors lived in Ungheni. I'm talking about dates between the 17th-18th Century. Grinshpun is a surname with German roots. We are Ashkenazis straight from Eastern Europe.

Now here is the question of the restoration of synagogues. I was told by you that there were three synagogues being rebuilt. One is in Chisinau One is located in Jurmala and the third one is in?

It is located in Netanya in Israel. It houses over 1,000 people every day. An important object in the religious life of Israel. Jurmala's second synagogue. When the Second World War, the sole synagogue remaining in Jurmala was destroyed. Before I decided on building an orthodox church in Jurmala, I had previously talked to the local Jews. It was a success that brought all the Jews of Jurmala. The project actually renovated the Jewish community and it is still functioning very well. Three Torahs are now at the synagogue. I gave one Torah to the synagogue.

These three synagogues weren't the only ones I participated in restoration and building. I felt it was my responsibility to make a contribution in any country I've visited for a long period to assist synagogues. Эммануил Гриншпун My contribution in Monaco is the building of a huge community center in Miami for Russian-speaking Jews and is estimated to be 12 million dollars. I continue to assist Chisinau. The center will soon become the largest synagogue in the city, the synagogue Rabbi Tsirelson.

In along with Jurmala, did you invite Rabbis to Chisinau?

It has offices in Australia, Japan Hong Kong, New Zealand, New Zealand as well as Eastern Europe. In 2010, I was Vice President of Congress. Exactly. Israel is the only nation to offer all-inclusive vaccination to its adult population. I consider this to be an excellent model and example that other countries can follow.
