Minecraft is nearing updates that could seriously alter your gameplay when you want to play with game mechanics... or simply immerse yourself in the virtual world. The update on October 18th for Minecraft's Windows 10 Pocket and Gear VR editions will come with Add-Ons. These will allow you to modify text files to alter the behavior of characters and objects. Want giant chickens, or Creepers that cause massive explosions? It's not difficult to create. Consider it an entry point into the world of game mods without needing to master programming.
VR players, for instance they can benefit from more advanced controller support. You can use the Bluetooth-equipped Xbox One gamepad (like the one that comes with the Xbox One S) in the Windows 10 or Gear VR versions of the game and PC players with an Oculus Rift can use Oculus Touch hand controllers. If Minecraft in VR is still a standard PC or mobile game for the moment but it will be a more distinctive experience following the update.
The new software brings boss battles to Windows 10, Pocket, and Gear VR versions.
Console users won't have to wait until the 18th to get something new, however. Mojang and Microsoft are releasing the Chinese Mythology Mash-Up. This will introduce characters and a world that is inspired by China's culture. Mega blog 'll also see banners and more logical biomes, such as Igloos and polar bears, which are found in arctic climates. This update will be available for Xbox and Wii U gamers on October 4th, and PlayStation players on October 5th.
