The game starts off with a small bet that is known as an ante. Each player is then dealt two cards - one face-up and one face-down. The pocket card is the face-down card. The betting round begins with the player with the lowest card face up. The betting round then continues with the player to the immediate left of the player who has placed the first bet. Players have the option of folding, calling or betting.
