Most articles promising the best Minecraft mods will give you an endless list of incompatible downloads to grab off suspicious websites, but we're going to be doing things a different way. We'll offer you a selection of five custom-curated packs of mods that are able to create a unique experience.

To download them, all you need is the Twitch Desktop App (opens in a new tab) It will guide you through the process of installing. Click the Minecraft tab, then click 'Browse All Modpacks. Then, search for each one.
One note on hardware: To run these mods, you will need to have the desktop version of Minecraft installed on your computer. Minecraft isn't exactly what you would call an optimally optimized video game. Mcprofile can put an additional load on it, so low-end systems may have trouble running the bigger packs.
