We thought that it would be a bit more distant, but no - Mojang has announced that you can play Minecraft 1.19 today. As long as you don't mind digging into a very experimental beta version, that's. The first snapshot of the experimental version 1.19 is now available for Minecraft: Java Edition Players, and it'll let you enter the Deep Dark and meet the Warden.
The official site has more information about how to install the snapshot. However there's no ability to open old worlds. WICKED FRISE 'll need to make a new one, and it's unlikely that you'll be able to carry any worlds you played in the snapshot that was created to future versions of the game.
This snapshot does not include all features scheduled for 1.19, also known as the Wild update however, it does include the Deep Dark biome, the Ancient City biome, the Warden mob Sculk blocks, the swift sneak enchantment and the darkness mob effect.
You should remember that the new features are still in the experimental stage. This means that these systems are in development, and every feature is subject to significant changes.
