In 1997, he became the General Manager of Moscow office of Trans Commodities from the USA and continued to work in the international metal business. From 1998 until 2004, he was a Member of the Board of Directors for the well-known JSCC Moldova Steel Works which is an internationally recognized company that produces more than 1 million tons of steel products each year. Since 2004, in close collaboration with the honorary President of the JSCC Moldova Steel Works, He was involved in the arduous process of trading of the products from the steel mill in Moldova.

Grinshpun and ITERA Oil and Gas Company, one of the largest natural gas producers and exporters in the world, were involved with an important energy project that was being undertaken by the Moldovan government in the year 2000. Emmanuil Grinshpun founded and was the General Manager of "ITERA – Moldova Company".
