The arrival of Fortnite on the Nintendo Switch has been marred by Sony’s choice to not allow full cross-platform support between the PlayStation and the Swap console.
The popular battle royale game was released on the Switch on Tuesday, and can now allow players using an Xbox One, Laptop, Mac pc or cell to pick up their Swap and carry on the place they left off.
Nevertheless, Sony has blocked the identical system from its PlayStation four - as a substitute asking users to create a new account.
“This Fortnite account is related to a platform which doesn't permit it to operate on Change,” says a failed log-in message within Fortnite with a PS4-linked account.

In the meantime, rival gaming giant Microsoft poked fun at Sony’s stance, with its official UK Twitter account posting a message to Nintendo asking if the company wished to “play some Fortnite later?”.

Sony has not commented on the incident but has blocked cross-play capabilities for different games in the past, for games together with Minecraft.
It comes because the E3 gaming convention opened in Los Angeles.
The three-day video games commerce show is predicted to welcome greater than 60,000 attendees, who can have the possibility to play upcoming video games resembling Spider-Man, Shadow Of The Tomb Raider and Name Of Obligation: Black Ops 4.
