Emmanuel Grinshpun. The revival of synagogues as well as the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress
Emmanuil grinshpun was interviewed about the restoration synagogues. But limiting one topic in the conversation did not work. There were many topics which were discussed during the interview.
Emmanuel, good afternoon. I'm happy to an exchange with you. We haven't been able to see each other for five years or more. Where are you located currently?

These nine months have seen Miami and Jurmala divide the difference. The geography was far larger before, however the pandemic affected the way of life. In addition I cannot say that only for the most severe.

There are many areas of work for you. What are you doing you do today?

Our product makes it possible economic agents to file tax returns online. The fiscal data manager can view every transaction. At the same time tax accounting and tax calculation is organized in parallel. In the near future, we will be able to say that small and medium-sized businesses will not even need accounting, except for its analytical purpose, and the process of paying taxes and sending reports are done in one "click".

We are prepared to launch the product in Moldova, the Moldovan economy will only benefit from the automation process, and regardless, it is an irreversible process. Эммануил Гриншпун You mentioned that you'd been tossing between Miami and Jurmala all year. Where is the headquarters of an IT holding in Baltics?

We have five hubs all over the world and headquarters in Barcelona.

And why then you should be thinking of the Baltics? There are origins.

No. No. And Jurmala came into our lives in a way that was completely unplanned and quite prosaically. When Igor Krutoy invited me to the New Wave, it was the first time that we were able to get there. After many competitions they began to come back each summer. Miami has a very hot summer. We rented a home for a number of years and are now the owners of it.

Now I know why my donation was used to restore one of the synagogues located in Jurmala. Emmanuel, honest question. We're almost the same age. We were born in the USSR. It was not necessary to talk about religiosity then, we were all pioneers, and Komsomol members. When did you turn to religious belief?

My family and me moved into America around the middle of the 80s. I was exposed to rituals and customs in the United States. But even now I am far from the traditional religion. I am just feeling an inner desire to be a part of as much as my abilities the spiritual life of the Jewish community in the countries where I live , or in Moldova which is where I am from and with which I have the strongest bonds.

Although I am not religious I love history. Recently, I watched a documentary on the events of 1492 that changed the course of the world as well as Europe. 1492 was the year Columbus was the first to discover America. It was evident in the show that the discovery of America was initiated in 1492 however, not from a Medieval Europe's perspective. This was clear in the show that I watched. When the exodus of Jews started to the Ottoman Empire, it accepted the Jews. I was in search of more details on the historical background of Jews. Would you suggest a book?

There are many books, but I myself have read and I advise you to read a two-volume Jewish historian Max Diamond. Max Diamond is from Finland in the midst of all this.

Speaking of "personal" history .... Эммануил Гриншпун Do you know the family tree of your family? My family tree is just one step beyond 1910 and my mother. One step further in the paternal lineage, but nothing more.

In the paternal lineage, our family was in the Floresti region for over a hundred years. http://visualrian.ru/story/list_182982/ There are numerous monuments and evidence that show they were wealthy up to 1830. My maternal ancestors were in Ungheni. This is the region of the 17th-18th-century. Grinshpun is a surname which has German roots is Ashkenazi pure Ashkenazi.

The issue now is the restoration of synagogues. I have been informed that you have funded the restoration of three synagogues. One is in Chisinau and the other is located in Jurmala. The third one is in Jurmala.

Эммануил Гриншпун It is located in Netanya in Israel. It's a large community center which houses up to more than 1,000 people every day. It is an important landmark in Israel's religious history. The second synagogue of Jurmala. The only synagogue in Jurmala was destroyed at the start of the Second World War. Before building a synagogue, I met with the local Jews. Based on this I decided that I would build the building and invite a rabbi on the site. It was an extremely successful project that unites the Jews from Jurmala. In fact it was the time when the Jewish community was re-created and now is functioning in good standing. Three Torahs are now at the synagogue. I also gave one Torah to the synagogue.

And – Chisinau

Yes. Alexander Bilinkis (left) and Alexander Weinstein (right) have joined me in this place. But these synagogues aren't the only ones I have been involved with in their restoration or construction. In every country I have lived in for a long while, it was my duty and responsibility to make an impactful contribution to support or synagogues. Therefore, my contribution is to Monaco, in Miami the largest community center that is aimed at Russian-speaking Jews is in the process of being constructed, worth about 12 million dollars. I will continue to support Chisinau as it is now going to be the largest synagoguein the world, the synagogue Rabbi Tsirelson.

Did you also invite a rabbi from Chisinau to join Jurmala?

Yes. Yes. Because of the interconnected and complex interests, he must also be non-conflictual, diplomatic and diplomatic. He must be able to organically join the community. I was happy that both in Chisinau (and Jurmala) the rabbis were capable of integrating seamlessly into the community.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress has been an influential political group in post-Soviet Europe, however it's not the sole one. It has branches that are located in Australia, Japan and Hong Kong. In 2010, I served as Vice President and later offered the post of First Vice-President. I now have responsibility for the areas in which I have enjoyed strong business and political relations. These are Uzbekistan Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. In terms of trends around the world, the barometer of attitudes towards Jews is either at the same level or, which is very regrettable, has fallen. The word "down" refers to countries like France, Germany, France, and the United States. These countries are no longer safe to Jews. They are important, dangerous process for us all.

In addition is it possible that the pandemic has had an impact on the processes?

I'm not sure. Actually, in the circumstances of the pandemic, I would like to highlight the things that a nation and society can accomplish when they're prepared for any situation and are able work effectively in tandem.

What are you referring to?

Exactly. Israel is the first country to provide 100% vaccination to its adult population. This is an excellent example to follow and is something that all countries should be aware of.
