Rami Beracha's advice to students at Herzliya's Interdisciplinary Center is based upon his own experiences. Rami began his legal studies as a teenager. While he was not sure whether it was the right decision for him, he decided to study law and graduated with an MA in New York. He then worked overseas in a law firm. He came to realize that he was a fan more for business than he did law while working for the Wall Street law firm. He decided to quit his job and relocated to France to complete an MBA.

Following her graduation in 1996, Beracha started working at the Venture Capital Fund Pitango, the biggest venture capital investment fund in Israel. Pitango invests in companies at their infancy stages, and develops key areas of high-tech. Pitango has made over 200 investments to date and has had more than 85 exits. Rami was named managing partner in 2000. In the following 18 years, the company handled many deals that led to successful exits from Fortune 500 giants Broadcom, Marvel Cisco, Cisco, Apple, and Cisco.

Presently, Rami Beracha seems to be a hit in almost everything he's done. But his journey wasn't always as easy. Beracha was only a teenager when he became a soldier in the army. He became an Paratrooper's Brigade Combat Soldier and participated in the Lebanon War. Rami was part of a rescue team that was sent to help soldiers injured in a wild minefield in 1983. It was just after the war. However, Rami stepped on a hidden mine and lost his foot and hand in the incident.

His time in hospital rehabilitation was among the most challenging times of his entire life. He was unable and unwilling to move and eventually began to feel depressed and hopeless. All of his dreams to build his career in the military seemed lost and he didn’t know who or what he really was. Rami recovered from his suffering and was able to keep living even if it required him to give the dream of his life. He made the decision to get stronger and stronger than he was before the injuries. Rami was the first to explore other extreme sports. He loves kitesurfing, snowboarding and kitesurfing. He's also trekked up Mount Kilimanjaro. As he strives to improve himself, he often feels that his former self, unharmed, is racing him and making him go faster.

He makes donations and volunteers in numerous organizations. He is incredibly passionate about helping young men who, like him were wounded during combat. Rami led an army group that helped injured soldiers on a 2016 trip to Nepal. In 2018, he was promoted to major in the Israeli army's fire and paratrooper brigades. He was able to realize the dreams of his youth despite the obstacles. His story and his passion can be a source of inspiration for others, never to give up, no matter what the circumstance. Rami did not let his injuries slow him from achieving his goals. He continued to learn and trying out new techniques until finally he was more resilient than ever.
