Avanos Medical is recalling Cortrak*2 Entry Access System. Cortrak 2 eternal access system The FDA declares that patients have suffered injuries and killed by nasogastric or an nasoenteric tube that was misplaced. The recall includes 629 devices distributed in the United States.
Avanos offers its Cortrak*2 enteral access system for its visualisation of the small bowel as well as stomach, which helps in placing a medical feeding tube. Patients may suffer injuries to their vocal chords, lungs, or trachea if a tube is not correctly placed. Cortrak 2 eternal access system Avanos Medical recalls that there were sixty accidents, 23 deaths, and 23 illnesses related to the misplacement or inadvertent insertion of nasogastric feeding tube while using the CORTRAK*2 Entral Access System. The lungs fail, there is pneumothorax (collapsed lungs) and perforation (a hole in one's esophagus or the bowel wall) as well as pneumonia and an excess of fluid in the lung and chest cavity (the chest cavity as well as the lung tissue) have all been among the injuries.
