A straightforward way I've discovered to let my mates connect with my Minecraft server, which is operating alone machine is to make use of a free software referred to as ngrok to expose my server to the internet.

TROUBLESHOOTING: Observe - if it doesn't work, then as an alternative of "Direct Connect", add it as a server by selecting "Add Server", then provide ngrok.com:XXXXX. Then simply connect with Minecraft skins that way as an alternative!
