We thought that it would be a bit further away however, it's not the case. Mojang has decided that you can play Minecraft 1.19 right now. As long as you're willing to play a very experimental beta version, that's. The first experimental snapshot for 1.19 is now available for Minecraft: Java Edition Players and will let you explore the Deep Dark and meet the Warden.
You can find out more information on how to install the snapshot over on the official site, but bear in mind that you won't be able to play old worlds. You will need to create a new one and it is unlikely that you'll be able to transfer any worlds that were in the experimental snapshot to future versions.
This snapshot doesn't include all features planned for 1.19, also called the Wild update. However Minecraft Server List does include the Deep Dark biome and the Ancient City biomes, as in addition to sculk blocks and the quick sneak enchantment.
You should remember that the new features are still in the experimental stage. That means that the devs are still trying to figure out how all these systems will work, so any particular feature is subject to major adjustments in the future.
