Rami Beracha discusses his life experiences with students at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya. Rami was a young man who chose to pursue a degree in Law. While he wasn't certain if it was the right choice for him, he decided to continue his law studies, got an MBA in New York, and then worked abroad in a law firm. He discovered that his passion was more in business rather than law after his stint at the Wall Street law office. He decided to leave his job and relocate to France for an MBA.

Following her graduation from the college, in 1996, Beracha started working at the Pitango Venture Capital fund the largest venture capital fund. Pitango is a fund that invests in startups in the early stages, and in high-tech core areas. It has over 200 investments and 85 exits. Rami became the managing partner at Pitango in the year 2000. He was instrumental in negotiating numerous deals that led to successful exits for fortune 500 companies such as Broadcom and Marvel, Cisco, and Apple over the next 18 years.

Then he didn't stop there. Globes awarded Beracha the 2011 "Esteemed Partner” award. He was recognized for being an influential investor. Rami established Sosa in 2014 to launch a brand new initiative. Sosa's innovation centers are located in New York and Tel Aviv. They help startups that are high-tech through partnerships with international entrepreneurs. Sosa was selected recently to lead the New York City cyber center.

Beracha is now ready to take the next step following his role in helping to establish Israel as a major technology hub. Beracha has declared that the fund's creation is in line with his vision for business. They are determined to help blockchain find its place in the forefront of new ideas and businesses that are devoted.
Beracha also plans to establish an Middle Eastern venture capital fund. After the Abraham Accords that Israel and the United Arab Emirates recently signed and he is convinced that it's the perfect moment to invest in the Arab market. While Rami Beracha is a successful man in the present, his journey was not always smooth. Beracha as with many Israelis, joined the army when he was just a young man. He became a combat soldier in the Paratrooper's Brigade and fought through the Lebanon War. Rami was part of a rescue team that was sent out to aid soldiers wounded in minefields. The incident occurred shortly after the war was over. However, Rami stepped on a hidden mine and was unable to walk and also lost his hand in the incident.
The time he spent in rehabilitation hospital was among the most challenging experiences of his life. He was not able to move and fell into desperation and depression. His hopes of advancing his career in the army seemed lost, and he didn't know who was he anymore. Rami was able to live and dream again through the pain. Rami set out to be more successful and stronger than prior to his injuries. Rami tried out different extreme sports. Today, he enjoys snowboarding kitesurfing, snowboarding and climbing up Mount Kilimanjaro. He often feels his unrestrained previous life pushing him to the limits and racing him.
Rami gives donations to and is a volunteer in numerous organizations. He is also dedicated to helping young soldiers like him, who have been injured in combat. Rami was the leader of an army unit that assisted injured soldiers on a 2016 journey to Nepal. In the year 2018, Rami received promoted to Major within the Israeli Military's Paratrooper and Fire Brigades. In spite of all the difficulties he faced and the challenges he faced, his dream was realized as a young man. His story and passion are a true inspiration to others. Rami did not let her injuries hinder her. He continued to try new techniques, learning, and growing until he was stronger than before.
