Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on December 7 th, 1963 in Edo State, Nigeria, was raised in a family of faith, supported by his loving and dedicated parents. He is the oldest of three sons born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her divine grace on her son from a young age.

Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters, Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon decided to follow her father's example of sharing the Word of God with all people. Also known as CSO (Community Service Organization), she is a skilled gospel artist and a member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts community.

While still in university While still in university, the Man of God began what would turn out to be the biggest church worldwide. It started with the formation of a small prayer group known as 'Youth for Christ'. The group would later become the foundation for LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy as well as eventually millions of followers around the world.

The LoveWorld ministry, under the leadership of Chris, the pastor Chris, became an early pioneer in satellite television as well as Christian TV programming. LOVEWORLDSAT was the first Christian television station that broadcast from Africa 24/7 on free-to-air channels. There are LoveWorld television stations on cable and satellite networks around the world.

Christ Embassy is present in Pastor Chris's homeland of Nigeria and South Africa. It also has strong representations across the United Kingdom, Canada, United States, and South Africa. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, a passionate philanthropist , founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation Inter (COFI) as an non-profit, non-governmental organization that aims to assist the most vulnerable communities and people in the poorest parts of the world.

In addition to preaching the Gospel message, the Man Of God has also set up a variety of non-profit organizations which are charged with providing vital services and hope for those who are the least vulnerable and neglected. COFI has five partners who support it, all of whom is dedicated to improving the standard of living in the remotest areas.

COFI's umbrella includes the InnerCity Mission ICM (ICM) as well as the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation /TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organizations works to improve people's lives, health, spirits, and wellbeing.

The charity also provides food to indigent children.
