How do I write a review?

With electronic devices for reading like those like the Kindle, Nook, and iPad, books can be downloaded in seconds. Readers can carry hundreds of books with them at any moment. So, what's the verdict? Are e-readers good for our surroundings?

The answer to this question is a more complex. Although it's true that electronic readers use less paper than traditional books however, the process of manufacturing and disposal of electronic devices can be damaging to the environment. For example, those materials that are used for the manufacturing of electronic devices usually contain toxins which can be leached into the soil and water when devices are being disposed of improperly. Additionally that the use of electronic devices frequently results in more energy use, which can lead to higher amounts of water and air pollution.

In the end, it's certain that e-readers aren't always bad for the environment, but they're often not good either. When compared to traditional books they consume less paper however, they use more energy to run and can be harmful to the environment.
