How to Make a French Boule Dinner
A French Boule is also known as a "boule de noir", a very simple bread recipe that resembles a loaf of bread. Although it can vary in size, most often it is larger than home bread. A typical boule consists of all different kinds of flours, whether that be a regular flour, a quick pre-flour or even yeast and other flours.

From the ancient Romans to early Middle Ages France, the bread recipe evolved. The main ingredient of this type of bread is buckwheat, which is a very starch kind of grain. These breads are called French Boule. An English muffin, a similar type of bread with a white top, is also available.

It is believed that the French territories were the first to produce the bread. This was around the 8th century. These first traces of this bread were found in France's Rouen. This dish can be served during afternoon tea. The dough is rolled out, then placed on a tray. Once the tray is heated by the camphor, or any other type of aromatic oil, the dough is heated. Once baked, the French tend to eat the baked French boule bread with white wine and butter.

There are many variations on this basic bread recipe. One of them is the one above. This recipe is used more often by the French than others. One reason for this is that there is a surplus of this kind of food in France. Other variations of the original recipe are more complicated as they involve using yeast, different nuts and seeds, raisins and dates.

A roux is a mixture of butter and a little fat. This is the standard French boule recipe. The inclusion of nuts such as almonds, pecans or walnuts completes the traditional look. If you make your own roux, try to use a good quality white flour to make sure that your bread comes out perfect. The crust of the bread should be flaky and soft. An expert would suggest that you make your French Boule at home and choose the crust according to personal preference. This crust type is very easy to make and can be kept in the fridge for a long duration.

Bread should not contain any sugar or starch added to it for a truly authentic taste. Any sweetener or starch will only enhance the bread's flavor and texture. When you buy French bread, it should say whether it is made with whole wheat flour, corn or rice flour. Avoid breads that say "gluten-free", because they could contain wheat traces.

French bread is available in either a round or square loaf. A traditional French boule recipe using this type of bread will consist of eggs, butter, milk and white wine or cognac. It is usually baked in either a tureen or an airtight container in wood fired ovens. Baking using this technique is not easy and takes time.

Another type of French bread is poolish. It is becoming very popular in western countries. Poolish is an artisan loaf made from bread that originated in Brittany, France. Poolish is made with white wine, butter, and fresh fruit. A conventional oven, a nonstick frying pan, and a wooden knife are all necessary to bake poolish.

Make the best bread possible by using a traditional French round oven called a panetto. Heat the patte just until it's almost burning. Next, add the flour, butter and sugar to the pan. Turn the oven on for about 2 hours. Bake the dough. Once the dough is baked, take out the pan and let it cool.

Now it's time mix all the ingredients together for your poolish: egg, sugar, freshly squeezed juice, brandy or cognac, and egg yolks. Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Then take your levain bread and place it into the center of the loaf. Cover the bread in the remaining egg white, and press it into its center.

Once the loaf is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool down to room temperature. Using a wire rack to rest the loaf against, cut it down into quarters. Let the bread rest for three to four days before covering it with the crust. You can then unwrap it and cut it into quarters. Place it in your refrigerator. This French Boule bread will stay fresh for up to three days if you make it the day before and keep it in the refrigerator. If you purchased the dough from an online bakery, you can put it in a plastic container and wrap it tightly with plastic wrap. Before freezing, add a slice of Styrofoam and some Styrofoam.
