Over my real estate investment career, something that I have noticed is that you could make some inexpensive improvements for a rental units that will have big impacts. I have learned that its not necessary granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances to increase demand for your units. view need to consider being unique and providing a location to reside for the tenants they are proud to occupy. It is important to project the picture of the landlord who takes enough time and want to maintain and improve his/her property.
Many properties have the old flip light switches that protrude through the wall. These are old making an apartment look dated. Many times I've seen units with painted over and even cracked or broken light switches. The low profile d?�cor switches cost a little over $2 for the most part hardware stores. They are simple to install and supply a contemporary clean look. This small item features a big impact with potential tenants, what's more, it shows an eye for details. Tenants can easily see if you took some time to switch the switch or should you just slapped paint for the wall and today that old switch stands out like a sore thumb.
Even worse than old light switches are painted over outlet and switch face plates. This looks terrible and shows a paint job where corners were cut.
