Big pairs should not be played slowly. After studying thousands upon thousands of hands with big pairs (Queens/Kings/Aces), it was proven that aggressive play is the best. There are 3 outcomes to playing aggressively pre-flop; your opponents fold and you win the hand, your opponents call/raise and you have the best hand or your opponents call/raise and you do not have the best hand. If you have Queens / Kings or Aces, your opponent has a much better chance of having a better hand than you. If you slow-play the hand, your opponents have many chances to beat you and make the hand loser.
Early on, be sure to watch out for new comers. It is easy to be reckless in the game, but it can also be very dangerous for newbies. People who play the game recklessly will not make it in the tournament. However, they may steal your stack if you aren't careful. If you think going all-in early on is a good strategy, then you won't be winning too many poker tournaments.

There are three types of table positioning: the early position (EP), mid position (MP), and late position. In a table of ten players, the early position is sat on the left and it has a disadvantage. All opponents will gain from the EP's actions by being the first to react after the first flop. They will be able react to EP's actions and disrupt the EP's ploy. EPs need a stronger hand to bet or raise than those on middle and late position.
Ungar was a great example of self-belief, despite being intimidated by Brunson. On the final hand, Doyle flopped two pairs with A-7 on an a-7-2 rainbow flip. Ungar made a speculative play with his gutshot draw and Doyle won with A-7.Stuey had the nuts after the 3 on turn. His 5-4-5 only needed to avoid an ace/seven by the time the money went in at fourth street. winning poker game Ungar was crowned the WSOP champion fresh from the river.
