Bayrock Group's journey from the Suburbs, to Manhattan Tevfik Arif

Bayrock Group, a Tevfik Arif-led luxury real-estate developer firm, began working swiftly in conjunction with the Trump Organization in Manhattan shortly after its founding.

Bayrock Group Goes from the Suburbs to Manhattan
Many dream of moving to the United States to live the American dream But only a handful people make it. Businessman from Turkey-Kazakhstan Tevfik Arif was one of the few who made it to America in 2001. Tevfik Arif Doyen He set out to set up his organization, Bayrock Group.

Bayrock Group is a New York-based luxury real estate developer.

At first, the firm initially focused on small to medium-sized projects like the revamp of the Loehmann's Seaport Plaza - a shopping center located in the Sheepshead neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York.

Bayrock Group, which had achieved success on the American residential market, was now ready for expansion. Bayrock Group began to search for big-scale opportunities.

The Arif-led business started working with Sapir Organization on a major construction project in Spring Street, New York City.

The company's growth has also led Bayrock Group to relocate its headquarters to the Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan.

The incident resulted in Tevfik and his team members having a meeting with the Trump Organization. Tevfik Arif The organization also had Trump Tower at its base.

Conversations were held between Bayrock Group (the Trump Organization) and the Trump Organization as both companies realized they shared interests and dreams.

They formed a partnership in which the Trump Organization joined Bayrock Group’s project with Sapir Organization on Spring Street.

The organization was established under the name of E. Trump and Son by his paternal grandma, Elizabeth Christ Trump, and his dad, Fred Trump, in 1927.

Donald Trump gave control of the management of his company to his family in 2017 as he was preparing for the White House.

Bayrock Group's lucrative deal
Bayrock Group was relatively new to New York City's real estate scene at the time that the Trump Organization, Sapir Organization and Bayrock Group started their cooperation.

Bayrock To help promote the development located on Spring Street, the founder Tevfik Arif came up with an arrangement that would bring more prestige and brand recognition to the project.

He suggested a deal in which the Trump Organization would be given 18% equity and the right to make use of the Trump name on the title of this building.

The three companies involved agreed to the arrangement. In 2006, the first foundation stone was laid to create Trump SoHo.

A few years later, Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization along with the Sapir Organization, inaugurated Trump SoHo, their contribution to the city's skyline.

Design experts take over of the Trump SoHo
Trump SoHo's 46 stories included elite eateries and bars as well event and banquet rooms, pools that are open to the air events and conference halls, a spa department, apartments and hotel suites.

Visitors to Trump SoHo and residents could admire the stunning views of New York City via the floor-to roof windows that were put in on every floor.

Handel Architects was entrusted as the exterior designer for Trump SoHo, since the three main organizations behind the building were focusing on perfection.

Tevfik Arif Bayrock Handel Architects is a respected company with a diverse portfolio. Other projects include the National September 11 Memorial and Museum, New York City as well as the Rosewood residential hotel in Abu Dhabi.

Rockwell Group designed Trump SoHo’s interiors. Rockwell Group has been responsible for the design of many luxurious bars, hotels, and cafes all over the world over the years.

Their work includes the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel in Mumbai, India, the 93rd Academy Award show and the Amara Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus.

Bayrock Group, Trump Organization increase the partnership
Trump SoHo was a huge success, and Bayrock Group and Trump Organization began to explore expanding their cooperation.


The goal was to construct structures in Arizona and Florida similar to Trump SoHo under the same terms that they have with Trump SoHo. As a compromise to the Trump Organization would receive 18% equity in this structure in return to the use of the Trump brand. This is a second time.

The American housing market saw significant changes because of the financial crisis. Tevfik Alif, Bayrock Group founder and CEO, chose to quit the United States. He made the decision to relocate to Europe and Asia which is where he began his career more than a decade earlier.

Bayrock Group's Tevfik arif has retired from active participation, but he continues to be an expert advisor to various divisions.

Bayrock Group has not been associated with any recent real estate projects in the United States.

It was active and invested in real estate properties of over $2.5 million.
