Visitors return year after year to the Florida Keys for the Keno vessel and the boat shows at Key West. Many years later, after all the millions spent on the get rich quick scams and the huge profits, even the most greedy politicians feel a responsibility to support new development projects that benefit the entire community. Danielle wants to start a new Keno project that will finance huge new hockey arenas across North America. Her biggest campaign promise is a Key West slumlord-fueled auction of real estate that she hopes will revive an area where once was life. It will include everything from grocery stores to large malls, and a college town of around five to six square miles.
"We're going to bring back the glory of a bygone age," she boasts. The venue is a massive, two-sided room that houses large, shiny coins. "This is the last gasp of a dying culture," she says. "A slumlord's domain!" Perhaps "vulgar Air" is a better term. Keno's Keno Park is selling dirt cheap, first-class horses. These horses are often displayed at major horse racing events in the U.S. where top-class thoroughbreds can command seven figures.
When Danielle announced that she was going to restore the glory of the Keys with a massive Keno development, people were astonished. She said, "It's no complete slumlord thing." It's a horse-racing thing. Even politicians can get involved in the game. This is where I come in. Danielle and her political allies have called me both gleasonous and glutton.
I am one of them, even though I didn't write that article in November. I haven’t been as excited about Keno since January, when I was invited to a Keno event where I was the featured speaker. As the jackpot draws closer, so does the demand for people to cash in. Some smart entrepreneurs have taken over the aging facilities to turn them into shopping malls. There are multiple stores selling a range merchandise and services.
The gleaming jewel-box town of Kingsburg, adjacent to Kingsburg, has seen a flurry of development in recent years. A string of new hotels has added to the city's appeal. Keno appears to have escaped all the activity in the new shopping malls. A local real estate broker told me that he'd heard nothing on the topic and, "It's possible the developers forgot to set the building up for the sale."
This explanation seems plausible. However, I have heard the exact same thing from a Kingsburg contractor. There are also anonymous sources who have confirmed that Keno was not planned but unannounced. This was due to confusion over zoning codes and resulting in an underdeveloped town with few amenities. Keno has gone through many changes and adjustments. Perhaps it's time to let go and look forward to a brighter tomorrow.
So why should I be concerned about this? Because I'm a firm believer that the game is the best and I want to see it succeed wherever the land. I don't care which segment of society it hits, but I do believe it is a fundamental mistake to disregard its existence and potential.
It's hard for anyone to disagree with the results of online Keno. They've won more than just a few awards. They've also created whole communities around them. And they've even spawned imitations. The internet gives instant access to all data regarding the game, including who played what and when, as well as what strategy was used. Additionally, you can play thousands upon thousands on one computer. There's really no argument here.
