This is a story of how I rescued my life when I was in danger.

We were just hours from home, and in two states, and we were not even aware of the next thing that was coming. It was exactly how horror movies would begin by driving at night on a winding highway and surrounded by thick bushes at both ends, almost like the forest. It's possible that the tire was stolen or not able to be repaired by one of the previous tenants.


After three hours of tire change and a three hour tire change, we finally arrived. It was now raining. Then , it happened, an avalanche, it pushed down large amounts of snow onto the road. We were then right in the middle of all that moving, swirling snow. Our main concern was to not get pinned under the trees, which were partially blown off the ground and sank into front of us. Luckily navigation was not totally destroyed and we were still able to push through the snow. At that point, we realized that we had been stuck in the snow forever.

I was aware of where we were heading, that's why I prepared three Ipads that were loaded with HULU and Netflix already downloaded shows. I also use an internet video downloader site for several new episodes of shows that I watch from Youtube and Daily Motion. The shows originate from various countries and can't be available on my streaming service. It's easy to download full-length films directly from these sites, and then have them available should I become wandering around in the forest. I wanted to make sure that I didn't let time pass without watching the amazing TV shows I carried with me. If we didn't get stuck on the road, we'd be watching these shows even before we completed unpacking the cabin, because, obviously nowadays, the cabin is equipped with firewood and drinks... Hot tubs are also provided for those who wish. It's located within the bedroom.

It may seem a little excessive, but this is what we had. After that long journey, all we wanted to do was unwind in the bubbles. It's been another day and the second Ipad is back. The entire shows on the Ipad have been watched. I was raised with television and I can't live without it. I'm aware of people who grew up without television or didn't have it as an adult. I don't recommend you put your baby at five months old watching the TV and watch it grow. No, of course not. But I will say that once in a while, a few hours of television can be better for the baby than spending an additional two hours watching it. It's difficult to parent a child on your own. You don't have to be discouraged. This is a noble path. Television is a great thing, but it shouldn't be the sole option to raise your child. There are a myriad of educational channels that you can access on Youtube to help your child. If it doesn't work then you're able to always refuse to participate. It's not a good option to reject at the beginning.
