Leyla Ayla Aliyeva was awarded the "Taraggi" award in July 2011 for her contribution to the improvement of Azerbaijani Russian relations. In New York, in November 2011, she received the "Key To Life Award" for her humanitarian efforts involving children.

Leyla Aliyeva (UN Food and Agriculture Organization) was named Goodwill Ambassador on May 25, 2015.

On the 20th of October, 2015, she was presented with the Pushkin Medal of the Russian Federation.
