STAFF
I (Lawrence Wright) am your RA. I'm here to support you - feel free to reach out to me with questions or issues you might have. For non-emergency matters, I answer texts/you can knock on my door from 10 am to 10 pm. If it's an emergency I'll be right there any hour of the day.
My boss, Alexis, runs a program every Tuesday from 8 pm to 10 pm, so you should stop in and say hi to her. She's another layer of support for the hall. Pre-college staff are located in suite 125 the Vartan Gregorian Quad, building A. They oversee all operational components of this campus and are always happy to answer questions myself or Alexis can’t answer. The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is here to ensure your safety. Their number is on the back of your card. They also do walking escorts.

WHAT PEOPLE DO
Call RAOC1 if you have a problem but you're not sure who to call. Call RAOC2 if RAOC1 isn't answering or if you're locked out between 6pm-6am. Call HAOC if you're locked out between 6am-6pm. If you lose your card, that's 25$, and losing your key is 75$.

BUILDING INFO
There's two lounges on the first floor and some lounges in the basement you can hang out in. Also the green outside is really nice get some fresh air. The laundry room and the room where you put your trash is in the basement. We have 2 men's bathrooms on this floor. Don't go in the staff bathroom.

FIRE
If you hear the fire alarm, leave, no matter what. Take shoes, keys, and phone and meet on the green out front.

i. B.6 When on Brown’s campus, students may not use, possess, or be in the presence of the following:

2. illegal knives, fireworks, or explosives;
3. candles (including tealights), incense, grills, flammable liquids, gas-operated stoves, hot plates, toasters, toaster ovens, appliances with an exposed heating element, space heaters, air conditioners (unless medically authorized and registered with the University), torchiere halogen lamps, refrigerators in excess of
4 cubic feet, refrigerators in excess of 1.5 amps, and 100 watts;
4. motorcycles and vehicles and hoverboards
5. alcohol, tobacco products, illegal drugs (including marijuana), and related paraphernalia.

CURFEW
You HAVE to check in with me every night at 10 pm. No exceptions. You can't text me - I have to see you face-to-face. I'll leave my door propped open around that time every night. If you're going to bed earlier, let me know before you fall asleep. 10pm - 6am, you have to stay within Chapin. You don't have to stay in your rooms or go to bed, just stay in the building. No wiggle room on this rule, either.
9:00pm to 8:00am is quiet hours. We shouldn't be able to hear music or talking coming from inside your room. Everything else is curtesy hours - you can make whatever noise you want, but if someone asks you to be quieter or to stop, please do so.

GUESTS
The only people allowed in this dorm are pre-college students and staff. No exceptions.
