Nast�pnie pracowa� w warszawskim Teatrze Dramatycznym, po czym zwi�za� si� z Teatrem Nowym. By� r�wnie� cz�onkiem-za�o�ycielem kabaretu �Po �arcie�.
Maciej Stuhr ma na swoim koncie wiele znacz�cych r�l filmowych. Wyst�pi� w filmie Ma�gorzaty Szumowskiej 33 sceny z �ycia, za rol� Piotra otrzyma� nagrod� im. Zbyszka Cybulskiego. W 1991 roku wyst�pi� w filmie Dzieci wojny Krzysztofa Kie�lowskiego. Pod koniec lat 90. Stuhr wyst�pi� w kilku filmach, m.in. w "Fuksie" Macieja Dutkiewicza i "Ch�opaki nie p�acz�" Olafa Lubaszenki.
