Good Morning everyone!! What can we do to save our earth?? Well, many will ask why we need to save our earth?
First of all, our carbon emissions are rising at an alarming rate! Did you know? The maximum amount of temperature rise we can allow ourselves is 1.5 degrees celsius. We are in imminent danger of the extinction of our species. Carbon emissions come from incinerators that burn our trash, and fuel usage from cars and factories. Humanity has also been littering a staggering amount of rubbish into the land and sea, causing pollutions to natural ecosystems and killing off many wildlife.
So, what can we do as individuals to help save our earth? We can exercise the 3Rs, Reuse, reduce, recycle. This helps expand the lifetime of our goods, severely decreasing the demand the factories needs to produce, and less rubbish for incinerators to burn. It's also advisable to take public transport or electric cars, as this decreases carbon dioxide emissions from other vehicles. It is also our duty as responsible citizens to not litter, and recycle them properly. We could also take an extra step to pick up any litter we see.
In conclusion, if every individual citizen can be considerate and exercise their part in saving our earth, we have a shot in surviving our own demise. Ask not what nature can do for you, but what you can do to save nature.
