Measurement Guide for Custom Size Wall Murals
For India Wallpaper Wall Mural to wall, floor to ceiling wall murals, be sure to provide us with accurate wall dimensions to make sure your new mural fits the space accordingly.



Height* - We recommend that you measure the vertical height at each corner as walls are never perfectly square. If different, select the greater of the two height measurements.


Width - Measure the horizontal distance from corner to corner.

Wall Measuring Tips
We create all custom size murals based on the specific dimensions that you provide to us with your order.
If you prefer, you may choose to add an extra inch or so of overprint to the height and width to allow for slightly uneven walls.
Any excess material can be trimmed away during the installation process.
If 3D Buddha Mural Wallpaper choose to add the extra overprint, be sure and include this in your dimensions when ordering. If working with Meditating Buddha Wallpaper , please let them know you have accounted for overprint in the dimensions you’re providing to them.

Standard Wall Diagram

We recommend measuring the height and width of the wall in at least three locations: a) left, center and right for height -and- b) top, middle and bottom for width.

If ordering a "full wall coverage mural" to fit corner to corner and ceiling to floor, we recommend to ADD 1” for every 5 feet in height and 1" for every 6 feet in width to the measurements you provide us. This way, you’ll just trim off the excess to have a mural that fits perfectly.

Angled Wall Diagram

For most walls with an angled edge, we recommend measuring the wall as if it were a Standard rectangular Wall and then trimming off the excess for a perfect installation that truly abuts the adjoining wall. If you have a very large wall, or an odd angle that would result in excessive material waste, please let us know and we’ll work on a different solution to minimize as much as possible. 3D Buddha Wallpaper hate waste too, but we hate an ill-fitting mural even more!

Vaulted Wall Diagram

For most walls supporting a vaulted or cathedral ceiling, we recommend measuring the wall as if it were a Standard rectangular Wall and then trimming off the excess for a perfect installation that’s flush with the adjoining wall. If you have a very high ceiling that would result in excessive material waste, please let us know and we’ll work on a different solution to minimize as much as possible. Mural Wallpaper ’ll minimize the waste when possible while still ensuring your mural fits perfectly.

For most walls with doors or smaller windows, we recommend measuring the wall as if it were a full Standard Wall and then trimming off the excess for a perfect installation that fits flush to door and window trims. However, if you supply us with a well-measured schematic of the wall, detailing all dimensions (from wall to door trim, door trim to window, window trim to top of wall, etc.), we’ll do our best to create panels that eliminate as much waste as possible but allowing enough overprint around all edges to ensure a proper fit.

When wrapping two or more adjoining walls with one continuous mural, measure as if it were one really long, oversized, continuous Standard Wall. After adding the widths of the adjoining walls together, be sure to add a few EXTRA inches of overprint (as noted in the Standard Wall description) to your custom dimensions to ensure full coverage. You’ll then be able to trim off the excess when you’re done installing, but will be sure to have enough to ensure full coverage. *Include the actual dimensions to corner(s) in your schematic so we know how to tile the mural for ease of installation.

Is there a minimum or maximum mural size?
We’ll create a mural in any size you want, no matter how large or how small, but we do have a minimum charge equivalent to a 15 square foot mural. If you’re buying two smaller murals at the same time and in the same material, both will count towards the 15 s.f. minimum.

Can Magic Murals create wallcoverings for unusually shaped walls?
Yes. If you provide us with complete dimensions of the wall(s) detailing all slopes, curves, cut-outs, bump-outs, etc., we’ll determine the most effective and cost efficient way to create your wallpaper mural. In order to accommodate slopes that aren’t perfectly straight and door or window frames that have a slight slant, we’ll sometimes suggest purchasing a mural that could cover the entire area and then cutting out the unneeded areas for a perfect fit flush with the ceiling, floor boards and window and door trims.

Will the mural fit perfectly?
We depend on you to provide us the final mural size based on your wall dimensions. Nature Wallpaper include in your measurements, the more wiggle room you’ll have in accommodating walls that aren’t perfectly square. For example, you may find walls that are higher on one end than the other, wider/longer on top than bottom, or slightly out of square windows. Our goal is to provide you what is needed to cover the wall so be sure to include any necessary details with your measurements.

We tile our mural panels in the most efficient manner based on the requested mural dimensions. If you have a special tiling request, we need to know prior to placing your order. While not always the case, we typically tile the panels with vertical seams. Modern Home Wall Decoration of our sourced mural materials come in 54" wide rolls. Maximum mural panel dimensions are up to 51" wide by 144" high.
