Staff will have access to engaging course content, videos, interactive activities and knowledge check quizzes that are designed to accelerate the learning. If participants are not able to lift for physical or medical reasons, they can partake in the theory and a relevant certificate will be issued. The aim of this Manual Handling Course is to provide learners with the knowledge, skill and attitude to perform manual handling tasks safety. This is to ensure that the organisation is compliance with the HSA’s requirements. The course is delivered through videos, downloadable resources and diagrams. While ensuring compliance with the health and safety legislation, the course develops awareness about lone working and ways to control the related risks. This course concluded with a practical assessment and a written test. The course offers crucial information about training and potential risks related to manual handling. It coaches the employees and workers about proper risk assessment and necessary control measures as the course helps reinforce comprehensive learning and understanding of manual handling risks.
It is our belief at Kelron, that people learn more when they are involved. We therefore will encourage each student to define their specific requirements and then design the course content where possible to address their needs.

I would like to receive updates on upcoming courses, including industry news and updates from SQT Training Ltd. All colleagues at DCU are required to take this course to help avoid injury at work. All participants need to take a written and a practical test at the end of the course.
The training will provide participants with the knowledge and qualification to prevent injury at work, have effective communication with their colleagues and be more conscious of safety procedures in their organisation. In accordance with Irish legislation a practical assessment must be completed by the trainee on successful completion of manual handling training. This is to ensure that the trainee has understood and put safe manual handling into practice. As well as learning the theory behind safe manual handling techniques, the course will include a thorough practical grounding in safe lifting. Participants will have a chance to put the skills they have learnt into practice with the help of our expert instructors. Manual Handling training provides knowledge, skills and attitude to enable safe techniques for the movements of loads protecting both employees from risk of injury and employers for days lost due to injury or legal costs.
