We were hoping that it was going to be a bit more distant however, it's not the case. Mojang has announced that you can play Minecraft 1.19 today. If you don't mind digging into the very experimental beta version, that is. minecraft roleplay servers : Java Edition Players has the first beta version of 1.19. This lets you explore the Deep Dark and interact with the Warden.
You can find out more information on how to install the snapshot the official site however, keep in mind that you won't be able play old worlds. You'll have to create a new one and it's unlikely you'll be able to carry any worlds that you've played on the experimental snapshot forward into the next versions of the game.
This snapshot doesn't include all the features planned for 1.19 Also known as the Wild update. However it does include the Deep Dark biome and the Ancient City biomes, as also sculk blocks, as well as the swift sneak enchantment.
You should remember that the new features are still in an experimental stage. That means that the devs are still experimenting with how these systems perform, and any particular feature could be subject to significant changes in the future.
