Mojang, a Minecraft developer, announced in October that part two of their massive Caves and Cliffs update would be available in "a month or at most". All about minecraft servers and minecraft in general 's almost there, as Mikael Hedberg, the Tech Lead of Minecraft Java Edition, has just tweeted something a bit obscure.
Although it might not seem like much, Mojang employees are famous for using Twitter to tease new features. The tweet's wording, specifically "preparing" implies that there will be a sequel to Caves and Cliffs.
Pre-releases are typically released in the days or weeks before the launch date. They are a step between "snapshots" which are the testing ground for new features that players may decide to take advantage of and the full update. 1.17's last update was released on May 27th. The full update was released on June 8th.
What is this implying? It means that we don't have long to wait for the 1.18 update, which will bring an incredible new world generation features to Minecraft worlds. It could even arrive before November ends!
Mojang also revealed in this year's Minecraft Live presentation, that the Deep Dark biome with its new mob The Warden would be moved back to The Wild update in 2022.
