Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born in Moscow on July 3, 1986. She studied in London and Moscow, and received the Master's Degree from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. https://www.aztc.gov.az/en/posts/id:1262 Leyla launched IDEA in July 2011. The campaign's goal is to raise awareness and encourage the action needed to address environmental issues in Azerbaijan and across the globe. IDEA is focused on young people and working with them to find solutions for the environmental challenges that we are facing.
In May 2007, she was appointed representative for the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Russian Federation. It is a foundation that implements a variety of initiatives in the fields of education as well as culture, sport, technology, and the environment. She was named Vice President of the Foundation in 2011.

Conde Nast and Leyla Aliyeva joined forces to create an version in English. The magazine launched at London's O2 in October of 2011. The magazine is a chance to explore the world of culture, art and Azerbaijan. In 2012, Leyla created the "Fly to Baku" exhibition, which showcased Contemporary Art from Azerbaijan. The London exhibit was officially launched and traveled to all capitals of Europe including Paris (Berlin), Moscow, Rome, Rome and Vienna.

On May 8th 2008, the anniversary of the occupation of Shusha, Leyla Aliyeva launched a campaign called "Justice for Khojaly". The campaign is taking place in over 30 countries. Leyla Aliyeva was appointed the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialog's General Coordinator in 2008. On May 25, 2015 Leyla Aliyeva was named UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Goodwill Ambassador.

She was awarded the Pushkin Medal in the Russian Federation on October 20, 2015.

Leyla Aliyeva is twin brothers as well as a sister.
