Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born July 3rd, 1985, in Moscow. She attended Moscow State Institute of International Relations in which she also studied in London. https://www.gettyimages.com/photos/leyla-aliyeva In July of 2011, Leyla launched the IDEA campaign which aims to promote public awareness and action regarding environmental issues in Azerbaijan as well as around the world. IDEA is geared towards young people and how they can help solve environmental problems.
In May 2007 she was appointed the representative for the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the Russian Federation. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation contributes to the economic and social development of the nation, through carrying out a variety of projects in education and public health, as well as culture, sports, science, technology as well as the environment. She was named Vice-President of Foundation in the year 2011.

In 2008, Leyla Aliyeva became the General Coordinator of the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue and on April 18, 2009, she was elected Chairwoman of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia - AMOR that supports Azerbaijani students and youth living in the Russian Federation. In July of 2011 the "Taraggi" award was conferred on Leyla Aliyeva for her work to the improvement of relations between Russia and Azerbaijan. In New York, she was awarded the "Key to Life" award for her work as a humanitarian with children.
