All fans,
Every time we ask about possible server updates, people always ask about a creative update. The problem is that no one knows what that should be other than "newer version". Well, we've decided that creative would be an excellent opportunity to become the main building ground of the community for map submissions. Minecraft-crafting.org With that in our minds, we set about creating a world that builders would love.
Map submissions must be made in 1.8 as the server's main version. So should we update the server version here? Well, let us not forget our history, of course. Creative used to be the home of many fans of Role Play and some lovely minds that made some pretty awesome builds that would not fit anywhere on the server. We don't intend to take anything away. This isn't a rebranding of creative, it's an improvement! Although updating the server version is a great way to preserve all that was creative, it's not enough. We dug deeper and gave it more.
Changes Builders' Delights + Updated Server Version to 1.18 + All Plot Sizes from 48x48 to 200x201 (Whoo! CENTERED PLOTS!) + World Edit, Voxel Sniper, GoPaint and GoBrush are fully available for all players to utilize + A villager has been added to the parkour lobby and OITC lobby advertising a map maker world that takes you to Creative + Added a /submit command - links you to forums submissions page + Redesigned the map submission tutorial to indicate maps needing to be built on server and submitting plot (or import to server and submit) + Added a toggle to integrate Jump Pads into your plot + Added a toggle to create megaparkours on your plot that gives carpet the megaparkour features
Role Play + Character sheets now available that allow you to specify a name, race, gender, and description for your character. + Plot Chats have been redesigned so that they are per-plot Role Play chats. Command for Character Sheet: /character (lists your character sheet with click-commands to edit info) /character set [Name|Description|Gender|Race] /character check (or right-click the player)
Bonuses + 24 Plots surrounding spawn have been reserved for contests/purchase. + You may request your past plots be imported (for a fee). The server store allows you to upload schematics and download a plot schematic.
