RipClear Moto Goggle Lens Protection Product Review
If you can pick out one annoying thing about taking your gear ready, what might it's? For me it’s changing goggle lenses; however some goggle brands (like Oakley and Scott) are easier to change than the others, I still never look ahead to installing a new lens. Well RipClear makes protective lenses for merely anything that needs clear vision, from Go Pro’s, goggles and also cellphone screen protectors, RipClear has something for everything. They reached over to Keefer Inc. Testing to find out if we might be thinking about trying some goggle lens protectors and since Keefer has watched me fumble with lenses several times he sent them my way. In the pack of lens protectors there's 2 universal fit goggle protectors, two wet wipes, one micro fiber cloth and two dust removal sheets together with step by step instructions. To be 100% honest, my first time installing a protector I messed everything up and had to junk one before working out the full process and fitment. Seeing as they're universal fit, according to the goggle, you may have to trim the edges to fit between the tear off posts in your lens (at the very least I did for the Scott Prospects). Once the protector was trimmed I made sure the lens was perfectly clean and carefully installed the “RipClear” following the instructions closely.

One thing I noticed was that I had to be cautious ensuring that the perimeters were all the way in which down and ensure the bubbles were out from under the protector before riding. If you can find any bubbles or perhaps a lifted edge and you also venture out for a ride, it collects debris and helps make the high spots noticeable inside your field of view, which may be annoying for many riders. If everything is installed correctly you can actually so slightly see the fringe of the protector but not enough being bothersome. The reason RipClear started selling goggle lens protectors is really because no person likes changing lenses continuously (and it’s expensive). These can build your lenses stay longer and are generally claimed to make the lens stronger (although I never tested the theory). After some time with the RipClear protectors I have to appear definitely more scratch resistant (specially in the Costa Rican mud where you could have ran out of tear offs, thus forcing said rider to need to wipe the lens with muddy gloves) than your bare goggle lens and I haven’t was required to change lenses as often. After some use and abuse linked with emotions . peel up around the edges and that’s when it’s time and energy to replace them. sunglass lens protection film can take from the old one, clean the lens and install a new RipClear. While the outside of the lens stays far more scratch resistant, the inside remains the standard lens.

I realized that after having the ability to use my lens for durations of energy, the lining of the lens really actually starts to take more of a beating (especially in dusty conditions). If I had to put lots on it I would state that a lens lasts 1.5 to a single.75 times longer than lacking a RipClear. So depending on how much a lens costs to your goggle (between $10-$40 nowadays) a collection of RipClear Lens protectors ($20 for the pack of 2) will probably be worth an investment to get more life from your lens (plus you won’t be cussing at the goggles or perhaps your wife and changing lenses as often). I would say my main gripe regarding the technique is that it’s slightly difficult to receive the protector on perfectly and still have no bubbles between your lens and protector. As of right this moment RipClear only provides a universal protector that fits involving the tear off posts, but after talking while using company they plan to to push out a few goggle specific (for that popular models) protectors soon, that may have holes for tear off posts and reach further on the edge of the lens. The company tell me that so long as there exists a need for something that needs a protector, are going to more than pleased to generate it. I think for additional hardcore moto riders it isn't really the ideal product because let’s boost the comfort, some moto riders are divas about field of vision and might have more money than your average blue collar off-road rider. I for starters are derived from an off-road background and I can really view a requirement of making lenses stay longer, specially when conditions get nasty. Feel free to reach to me in case you have any longer questions regarding his product at Michael@keeferinctesting. Or check out RipClear at ripclear.com.
